15M LONG WHALE FOUND DEAD ON SAUDI ARABIA BEACH
A video of dead humpback whale washed up on the shores of Al Qahmah Center Beach in Al Asir region of Saudi Arabia has gone viral in social media websites in this week. Trending : Pilgrims on Umrah visa can visit now any city of Saudi Arabia
Humpback whale is one of the largest marine organisms in the ocean, its length ranging from 12 to 16 meters and a circumference between 4 to 6 meters and weighing about 20 to 30 tons in adults. Read : Makkah to Madina or Madina to Makkah train ticket price
- This type of incidents usually seen in Red Sea or Arabian Gulf, where whales wander into the warm waters accompanying large type of ships or tankers.
- As per the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture of Saudi Arabia, The whale most likely hit a large ship propeller and could not find a way back out from the Red Sea due to either heat exhaustion and suffocation through drought and the hot weather. - The body of the humpback whale was buried 10 meters away from the offshore in order to allow for its natural decomposition.
