MORE THAN 234,000 EXPATRIATES LOSE JOBS IN THE FIRST QUARTER OF 2018 IN SAUDI ARABIA
According to the official data released from Saudi Arabia, More than 234,000 expatriates lost their jobs in the private and public sector companies only in the first quarter of the year 2018. Trending : No more exist of rule 2 years must with first employer
The facts were based on the data released from Saudi General Authority for Statistics, The number of expatriates fell from 10.42 million to 10.18 million from the fourth quarter of the year 2017 to the end of the first quarter of the year 2018. Recommend : Saudi Crown Prince said "We need expats continuously for our future projects"
- In the same way, unemployment of Saudi citizens rate decreased to 3.15 million from 3.16 million from the end of the first quarter of this year to the end of the fourth quarter of the last year.
- These figures came out after the measures taken by the Saudi Arabia to "Saudization" of various economic sectors including telecommunications, insurance and driving and few retail sectors. See Also : Saudi job market is expected to shrink this year
- Everyone knows Saudi Arabia and most of the gulf countries heavily depends on expatriate labor workers. The unemployment rate among Saudis rose to 12.9% from 12.8% from the 4th quarter of 2017 to the first quarter of 2018.
- As per the General Authority for Statistics, The ratios of private and public sector workers in the Kingdom were estimated by 13.58 million is dropped to 13.33 million from the end of the fourth quarter of the year 2017 to the end of the first quarter of 2018.
