3 MILLION RIYALS FINE & 5 YEAR JAIL TERM FOR SPREADING LIES ABOUT PUBLIC ORDER IN SAUDI ARABIA
Saudi Arabia announces a penalty of 3 million Saudi riyals and 5 year jail term for those who are producing, spreading or sharing electronically anything that harms public order, religious values, public morals and privacy. Trending : Retirement age in Saudi Arabia as per Labor Law
Social media became one of the biggest platform for sharing and spreading lies, fake news and rumors which may affect public order and security, it is considered as cyber crime and punishable with 3 million riyals fine and jail term for 5 years said Public Prosecution in Saudi Arabia. - As per the Article 6 of the Cyber crimes Regulations, It stipulates a maximum 5 year imprisonment and a maximum of 3 million Saudi riyals fine or any one of it or both the penalties for those who produce, spread or share electronically anything that breaches public order, religious values, public morals and privacy.
