Reason behind why India is celebrating its Republic Day on 26th January 

India is celebrating its Republic Day on 26th January of every year to mark the day on which the "Constitution of India" came into effect. India did not have permanent constitution after its Independence, Then the Drafting Committee appointed to draft a permanent constitution with Dr. B R Ambedkar as chairman. - From that year India has been hosting another country as the guest of honor for Republic Day celebrations in New Delhi. Till now many countries attended to be part of the India's Republic Day.
