Working Hours in Ramadan as per Saudi Labor Law
The actual working hours during the month of Ramadan shall be reduced for Muslim workers to a maximum of 6 hours a day or 36 hours a week states Article 98 of Saudi Arabia's Labor Law. Similar : Do's and Dont's in Ramadan in Saudi Arabia
The rule is applicable for both private and public sector companies. However, This law is applicable only to the fasting person, but almost all companies in Saudi Arabia provides same rule for both Muslim and Non Muslim workers. Related : 4 Days holidays for each Eid as per Saudi Labor Law
- In case if the workers are asked to work more than 6 hours a day in Ramadan or 36 hours in a week of Ramadan, then they are entitled to overtime pay, the payment will be 1.5 times in overtime calculation.
