Saudi Arabia have Waived SR 30bn Expat fee of Industrial workers
Saudi Arabia has waived expat fee of licensed industrial sector expatriate workers for 5 years, It is about to cost 30 billion Saudi Riyals and the government is ready to bear it for the factory workers. Most Viewed : We continuously need expats for our future projects - Saudi Crown Prince
The government will bear the cost of licensed industrial institutions from 1st October 2019 to five years reports the Cabinet statement. The expat levy fee was imposed on expatriate workers to encourage citizens hiring. See Also : No Expat levy on government contractors
- Earlier this year, Saudi Arabia's King Salman approved a scheme to reimburse some companies who had struggled to pay the expat levy of their workers in 2017 and 2018. Only those companies who has more Saudi nationals than expats were under this scheme.
