- Your Iqama is now your Health Insurance Card in Saudi Arabia

Iqama or National Id card can be used as Health Insurance card in Saudi Arabia
The Council of Cooperative Health Insurance (CCHI) in Saudi Arabia announced that Iqama (Resident ID) or Saudi National Identity card can be used as health card in the Kingdom at any Saudi health care providers starting from 1st January 2020. There is no more need of presenting your health insurance card when when visiting any clinic or hospitals or pharmacy of Saudi Arabia as your Iqama or National ID card will work as insurance card. The CCHI said "We made it easier for you".
- To know whether your medical insurance card is linked with iqama or not, You can visit the below link and check by entering your iqama number or National Identity Card number.

- The CCHI will brief your details by showing Insurance Company Name, Policy Number, Class, Gender, Deductible rate % on Maximum Limit, Upload Date, Insurance Expiry Date, Beneficiary Type and Beneficiary Number. Read : No extension of visit visa unless your medical insurance is valid
- Its started from January 2020 in most of the hospitals, clinics and pharmacies, However, It may take little more time to affect in some of clinics , hospitals and pharmacies.
