Madina : 24 Hour Curfew on some Neighborhoods of Madina
Based on the role of the relevant authorities in following up the latest developments with regards to the Coronavirus (Covid19) situation, which involves taking further preventive and precautionary measure in order to preserve the health and safety of citizens as well as residents based on the health recommendation submitted by the concerned authorities to strengthen those procedures and preventive measures, the decision has been taken ton enforce the following:
First : Application of additional precautionary health measures in the following neighborhoods : Al Shuraybaat, Bani Zufr, Qurbaan, Al Jum'a, certain parts of Iskaan, and Bani Khudr, by extending the curfew period in these areas and preventing anyone from entering or leaving them throughout the day (24 Hour) Curfew.
Second : The extension of the Prohibition Period comes into force on Saturday (4th Sha'baan 1441) that is 28th March 2020 at 6:00 AM in the morning. The curfew will last until it is ascertained that there are no cases that require attention, or in the event of the expiration of the medically recommended self-isolation period in order to preserve the safety of the residents (2 Weeks).
Third : Residents of the aforementioned neighborhoods can go out daily between 6 AM to 3 PM to benefit from local health care services, groceries as well as other permitted services which lie inside the boundaries of the exclusion zone. It also advised to stick to self-quarantine in one's home, and to contact 937 in the case of any symptoms arising.
Fourth : The ban on movement referred to in the first paragraph does not include the categories exempt from the curfew order. However, this should take place in the strictest of limits and in accordance with the procedures and criteria put in place by the concerned authority.
Fifth : We reiterate to all residents of the aforementioned neighbourhoods, that these measures are precautionary and necessary to preserve the public health, and thus we call upon everyone to adhere to these measures of isolation for the greater benefits of all.
