Saudi Jawazat started Extending Iqamas of Expats for 3 Months without any Fee
As per the Directive of the Custodian of the Two Mosques, Saudi Arabia's King Salman, The General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) has started automatically extending iqamas for expatriates who are inside and outside the Kingdom. All private sector employees working in commercial and industrial occupation iqamas that expiring from 18th March 2020 to 30th June 2020 has automatically started extending for additional 3 months without charge to relate what was previously implemented by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development. - These measures are part of the Saudi government's efforts to deal with the effects and consequences of Covid-19, which guarantees the safety of citizens and expatriates, and to confront financial and economic impacts.
- The Jawazat explained that the extension of the “iqama” was done automatically without reviewing the passport offices, and without any fees, and text messages are sent via mobile to all beneficiaries, in cooperation with the National Information Center and the Ministry of Finance.

- This procedure includes expatriates of the commercial professions who are inside the Kingdom that did not take advantage of their visas during the period of suspension of entry and exit to and from the Kingdom through the ports, and that the extension will be done automatically from the system without reviewing the headquarters of the passports.
