Coronavirus - Saudi Arabia monitoring Body Temperatures of people from Skies using Thermal Drones

Saudi Arabia's authorities in Al Baha region have started using thermal drones to monitor body health tepeartures of the people in open areas and markets as a precautionary measures in order to combat with the spread of the Coronavirus (Covid-19). Same type of technology has been also implemented by the Qassim region's municipality in the central region of Saudi Arabia and in Madina. Using drones are part of the country's wide reaching measure to try and slow the spread of the deadly novel Coronavirus disease (Covid-19). - The flying drones are equipped with thermal cameras working on artificial intelligence, as per the report of Saudi Press Agency (SPA), As per the Al Riyadh newspaper, the thermal cameras can monitor up to 24 people on each second.




- In case of a person found with high body temperature, they will deny the permission of entry into the market and asked the person to go the medical professionals immediately.
