Saudi Arabia to suspend Taraweeh Prayers in Ramadan at Mosques during Coronavirus Pandemic

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance in Saudi Arabia announced that Taraweeh prayers during Ramadan will only be performed at home as the suspension of prayers at mosques to continue until the end of the coronavirus disease reported Gulf News. The Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr. Abdul Latif Al Sheikh said "The suspension of performing 5 daily prayers at mosques is more important than the suspension of Taraweeh prayers. We ask and pray Allah the Almighty to accept our prayers whether held at mosques or homes, as it is better for the health of the people".

- "We ask and pray with Allah the Almighty to accept our prayers from all of us and protect the humanity from this epidemic that hit all over the world" said the Minister with the AlRiyadh news as per the report of Gulf news.

- As per the instructions and precautions from the Ministry of Health and relevant authorities in the Kingdom, 5 to 6 people from the deceased family can perform funeral prayers for the dead.




- This precaution is in line with the prohibition of gatherings, so that funeral prayer take place at cemeteries should not exceed 5 to 6 of the deceased relatives or family members, and the rest pray at their homes he explained. - He also said 'Funeral prayers are not greater than obligatory 5 prayers, so it is possible to pray individually, as it is more important as the large gatherings are prohibited in small place due to the Coronavirus, As it would possible to transmit the infection with others'.
