24 Hours Curfew in Baish Governorate of Jazan, Entries and Exits banned
The Ministry of Interior in Saudi Arabia announced that within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s efforts to confront coronavirus pandemic and in implementation of the recommendations of competent health authorities to raise the degree of precautionary and preventive measures to preserve the health and safety of citizens and residents, it was decided the following:
First : The curfew will come into effect in (Baish) Governorate of Jazan region for a period of 24 hours a day, with continuing ban of entry into and exit from it, as of today (12th May 2020) 19 Ramadan 1441 AH, until further notice, the ban of entry and exit does not include those excepted from employees of vital sectors in government and private sectors, whose works require continued performance during the curfew period.
Second : Within the narrowest scope, residents are allowed to leave their homes to meet only necessary needs such as health care and food supplies, within neighborhoods in which they stay, during the period from 9 AM until 5 PM every day. Vehicle transportation within the residential neighborhoods is restricted only for one person, in addition to the driver of the vehicle, to reduce contact. Third : Prohibiting the practice of any commercial activities within the residential neighborhoods, except for health facilities, pharmacies, food supply stores, gas stations, gas stores, banking services, maintenance and operation works, plumbing and electrical and AC technicians, water delivery services, as well as sanitation tanks.
- The Ministry called upon everyone that leaving home should be only for adults if needed in order to protect children from transmission of infection, using digital express delivery services through smart device applications to request food and medicine needs and other excluded goods and services for delivering to homes.
- The Ministry of Interior assured the people that these measures were taken within the framework of the Kingdom's efforts to preserve public health and prevent the spread of the coronavirus, and that they are subject to continuous evaluation with relevant health authorities. - The Ministry also called on everyone to sense individual responsibilities, follow instructions, and follow to isolation measures for the public interest.
