Call Centre for Emergency Health Advice launched for Bangladeshi Expats in Saudi Arabia

The Bangladesh Embassy in Saudi Arabia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Expatriates Welfare and Overseas Employment and ICT Department jointly inaugurated the call centre for 2.2 million Bangladeshis living in Saudi Arabia. Last week, A Bangladeshi man died at a Saudi hospital due to Coronavirus, A call centre for emergency health advice was launched for Bangladeshis during the global coronavirus outbreak, 67 doctors will be available for them from 9 AM to 9 PM everyday.

- Expatriate Bangladeshi physicians will provide all the necessary health advice through the "Probas Bandhu Call Centre" during the Coronavirus crisis said ICT division reports Dhaka Tribune. See Also : About 26 Nepalis infected with Coronavirus in Saudi Arabia

- An advice seeker has to call +8809611999111 or Imo numbers 01400611995, 01400611996, 01400611997, 01400611998, 01958105020 and their call will be diverted to the Bangladeshi doctors available in Saudi Arabia.




- 67 doctors will be available from 9 AM to 9 PM everyday, Another 250 doctors are about to register into this service, further details can be known from corona.gov.bd 

- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is the most popular destination for Bangladeshi workers, As per BMET, Last year about 399,000 Bangladeshis came to Saudi Arabia, Bangladeshis remitted 18.355 billion dollars last year in which 3.65 billion dollars is from Saudi Arabia alone.
