Eid Takbeerats to recite from Loudspeakers at Mosques in Saudi Arabia, Procedure of Eid Prayer at Home
In implementation of the noble and honorable directive, the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Abd al-Latif Al-Sheikh, issued a circular to the muezzins to repeat the Takbeers on the day of Eid through external loudspeakers in mosques, after Fajr prayer until the time of Eid prayer, However, the prayer should not be conducted according to the precautionary procedures.
Procedure to offer Eid Al-Fitr prayer at Home :
Eid Al-Fitr in Saudi Arabia to celebrate on Sunday (24th May), The Eid prayer to be offered 20 minutes after the sunrise, This year everyone needs to offer their Eid prayers at home, As the mosques all over the Kingdom are closed for congregational prayers as a precautionary measure against the spread of Corona virus.

- Eid Al-Fitr prayer is similar to Fajr prayer as it has 2 rakats, The first rakat begins with 7 takbeers (1 Takbeerat Al Ihram, 6 Takbeerat Sunnah) of 'Allahu Akbar' before reciting Surah Al Fatiha, After this continue the rakat in normal way with Rukoo and Sujood.
- The 2nd Rakat of Eid prayer begins with 5 takbeers of 'Allahu Akbar' then recite Surah Al Fatiha and another Surah, then Rukoo and Sujood etc,. like normal prayer. No sermon (Khutbah) of Eid at homes like at mosques.
