Saudi Arabia's 2 new Al Jouf and Ar Ar Airports ready to be Operational from 31st May

The General Authority of Civial Aviation (GACA) in Saudi Arabia announced the completion of operational readiness of 2 new airports of Al Jouf and Ar Ar, as the national airlines are set to resume domestic flights from 31st May in the Kingdom. After the operation of 2 new airports in the Kingdom, The number of domestic airports has risen to 13 in Saudi Arabia. The opening of 2 new airports came into effect after the country ease corona virus containment measures.

The GACA highlighted the readiness of Saudi airports as part of new measures to gradually lift the suspension of domestic flights in order to make sure a safe journey for passengers through local airports while following preventive and precautionary measures. In the first phase Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam airports will include the operation, Other airports to resume domestic flights included, Madina, Al Qassim, Abha, Tabuk, Jazan, Hail, Al Baha and Najran airports.
