Free domestic Internal Train at Jeddah Airport to Transport International Passengers
Jeddah's King Abdulaziz International Airport began operating the automatic carrier service, the free internal train to transport travelers inside the new terminal building Terminal (1) from check-in area to the international travel halls and vice versa. The new internal automatic carrier service is a technical addition to the series of technical serves provided at the airport, same as the international advanced airports.
- The new train is equipped with air conditioning, radio and information systems and its vehicles are equipped with fire alarm systems and emergency exits to ensure safety and security of passengers said the General manager of airport. - The KAIA airport published a set of pictures of the train, including pictures from inside the train, showing the passengers sitting inside the sector's cars with full commitment to implement the necessary precautionary and preventive measures.
- The length of the automated conveyor track is 1000 meters with a capacity of 4000 passengers per hour and includes 2 stations and 2 tracks with 10 vehicles and the capacity of each vehicle is 65 passengers, and cuts the distance between the two stations in 85 seconds and the maximum waiting period for the traveler is 170 seconds.
