Gulf States may not witness a Second Wave of Corona Virus
The Director of Public Health at the Gulf Health Council, Dr. Ahmed Al-Ammar stated that the Gulf countries may not witness a 2nd wave of the spread of Corona virus (Covid-19) pandemic.
He said that the 2nd wave of spread is taking place in countries whose precautionary measures have been completely lifted and without any progressive relief.
- He explained in a video posted on his Twitter account, That the World Health Organization (WHO) warned these countries that they may witness a 2nd wave of spread in the winter season.
- Al Ammar added that th Gulf countries including Saudi Arabia did not fully lift their precautionary measures and when the measures were relaxed, this was progressive with continuous monitoring and risk assessment.
- He expressed his confidence that there will be an anti-virus vaccine soon, and therefore the whole world will not witness any 2nd wave of spread of Covid-19 pandemic.
