Saudi Arabia bans Work under direct Sun from June 15 to September 15

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development  in Saudi Arabia announced that 'prohibiting work under the direct sun' is going into force from 15th June until 15th September of this year from 12 PM to 3 PM, All the companies should not allow their workers to work under the direct sun. All companies should make sure that their workers stay out of the direct sun for the 3 hours (12 PM to 3 PM) from June 15 to September 15. The Ministry is keen to protect the safety and health of the Kingdom workers in the private sector by providing them a secure working environment, away for exposure to any health hazards. - However, There will be exemptions in some parts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for outdoor work ban under direct sun, where the temperatures are low in those areas. The branches of Ministry Of Labor coordinating with such regions with regard of taking decision whether to work ban under the sun or not.

- In case if anyone's employer is not following the rule, expatriates or citizens can call to the customer service number of the Ministry 19911 or can visit https://rasd.ma3an.gov.sa for any queries or lodging of complaints about the violations.
