For the first time in the History, All the Hajj pilgrims can only pass through just one Miqat this year. Miqat refers to the boundary point form where pilgrims wear Ihram (dress of pilgrimage).

The Prophet Muhammad had chosen 4 boundaries for pilgrims arriving from different areas of the world to perform the Hajj or Umrah rituals, while the 5th boundary was chosen by the 2nd Islamic Caliph, Omar bin Al-Khatab.

- The 5 boundaries represents the firstt ritual of Hajj, located at northeast of Makkah, Miqat Qarn Al Manazel, which is usually a Miqat for pilgrims traveling from Gulf countries and East Asia.

- As the government allowed only limited number of pilgrims this year for Hajj due to the Corona virus pandemic, The pilgrims are expected to use Miqat Qarn Al Manazel, which is the nearest Miqat to Makkah reports Arab News.

- Al Sail Al Kabir Mosque inside Miqat Qarn Al Manazel is one of the biggest in Saudi Arabia with modern services of pilgrims.

- The place was linked to Prophet's lofe. as he passed by it during the Siege of Taif as per several historical novels mentioned as 'Qarn'.
