King Fahd Causeway bridge is expected to open after Eid Al Adha

The Authorities of Saudi Arabia and Bahrain are preparing to gradually reopen the King Fahd Causeway bridge between two Kingdoms some time after Eid Al Adha reports the sources.




The King Fahd Causeway Authority recently completed the installation of new gates on the Saudi Arabian side of the bridge which is fitted with automated payment portals to ease contact less interaction of travelers going to Bahrain.

The Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry authorities also revealed that it had used the downtime during the bridge's closure to implement electronic payment lanes as part of overdue plans to upgrade procedures.

- The King Fahd Causeway bridge between Saudi Arabia and Bahrain is 25 kilometre long bridge from Bahrain's Al Jarsa to Saudi Arabia Al Khobar.




- However, The exact date of the bridge's reopening is not yet confirmed but its aiming to gradual reopen in August, which is after Eid Al Adha.

- The authorities on both sides have laid out procedures and protocols ahead of the King Fahd Causeway's reopening to preserve the health and safety of travelers.

- Coordination is continuous between two countries to coordinate the movement of entry and exit of travelers across the bridge within the standards and precautions used in combat with corona virus pandemic, which is the top priority for now.
