70% Saudization in Retail & Wholesale Outlets of 9 Key Sectors from 20th August
The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development in Saudi Arabia is about to apply its decision of 70 percent Saudization in retail and wholesale outlets of 9 major economic activities, starting from 20th August 2020 (1st Muharram 1442). According to the Ministry, The decision is to raise the percentage of Saudization in the labor market and create more job opportunities in various regions of Saudi Arabia.
The 9 major economic activities that is applicable for 70% of Saudization are :
1. Sale of Coffee, Tea, Honey, Sugar and Spices
2. Water and Beverages. Recommend : GACA issues permits to thousands of drones
3. Fruits, Vegetables and Dates
4. Selling Grains, Seeds, Flowers, Plants and Agricultural Materials.
5. Selling Books, Stationery and Student Services
6. Gift and Luxury stores, Accessories, Handicrafts and Antiques

9. Selling Detergent, Plastics and Soaps
- The decision of Saudization on the mentioned list was taken by Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Ahmed Al-Rajhi in March.
- The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development will take all necessary measures in order to ensure that all the companies will comply with decision and not to violate any terms and conditions of it.
