Cruise ship return to King Abdullah Economic City port after suspected Corona case
The Red Sea Cruise Ship company explained the measures taken by the Ministry of Health crew of 'Saudi Cruise' ship after one of was passenger was suspected of being infected with Covid-19.
According to the company, the suspected case was immediately isolated and all passengers were informed to stay in their rooms, as per the protocols approved by the Health Ministry.
- The "Silver Spirit" cruise ship initially set sail on Thursday from King Abdullah Economic City port carrying passenger on Saudi Arabia's first recreational cruises.
- The cruise ship was to end its voyage on Sunday morning, but the ship has returned to King Abdullah Economic City on Saturday to make sure the safety of all passengers and there was a staff from health Ministry was waiting to help in implementing safety measures.
- The ship's capacity was maintained 75% during its voyage in order to ensure the social distancing between passengers on board.
- Simultaneously Corona virus testing was carried out before any passenger could board the ship as per the ship's management, who worked with Health Ministry.
