Labor settlement department receives 3000 lawsuits in 2 months, with 5 million in dues
The Friendly Settlement Department at the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development branch in Riyadh has revealed that it has received more than 3,000 labor lawsuits during the last two months and recovered rights and late wages of more than 5 million riyals. The branch of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development in Riyadh stated that the virtual reconciliation sessions were held through visual communication via the webex meet system directly and in the presence of the parties to the conflict, as part of the Ministry's efforts.
- To enhance the development plan and accelerate digital transformation and preserve the safety of employers and workers on the one hand, and prevent congestion within departments on the other hand, pointing out that filing a lawsuit with notifying the defendant is electronically through a (friendly) system and determining the sessions of the labor case is automatic without any human intervention. - It is noteworthy that the friendly settlement service is considered the first stage of the consideration of labor disputes claims between the worker and the employer, in which an attempt is made to converge the views and conduct the mediation process to settle the dispute and reach an amicable solution that satisfies the two parties if possible, or refer the case to the labor court.
