Saudi Authorities arrested 19 Illegal Expatriates in Riyadh
Saudi authorities have arrested 19 expats in Riyadh for violating the work and residency regulations, The arrests were made during inspection tours launched by labor office affiliated with Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development. The illegal expatriates were found to be self-employed workers in the used furniture business, All the arrested expats have been referred to the concerned departments for their deportations.
- The aim of the inspection campaigns is to ensure businesses compliance with labor regulations including a ban on outdoor work under the sun during summer and laws to employ locals (Saudi citizens). Related : Saudi Arabian bans work under direct sun from June 15 to September 15
- The authorities have recorded 43 violations and 29 warnings during the field inspections, The midday work ban covers all private companies and establishments, it came into force on 15th June and will continue till 15th September.
