Duration of Compensation in Emergency cases as per Health Council
The Council of Cooperative Health Insurance (CCHI) in Saudi Arabia confirmed that the insured will be compensated, in emergency cases, within a period not exceeding 15 working days, for the expenditures that can be replaced.
The official account of the Health Insurance Council said on its Twitter said that, “My insured brother, In emergency cases, compensation is made within a period of no more than 15 working days for replaceable expenses according to the prevailing prices.” See Also : Employer must insured new employee from the date of his or her joining
- The CCHI added, "Provided that the insurance company is provided, within a period not exceeding 30 working days of incurring those expenses, with the supporting documents required by the company."
- Earlier, The council cleared that, the insurance company does not have any right to refuse the insurance for those who are more than 60 years of age. Medical insurance is must in order to renew iqama or extend visa in Saudi Arabia. Related : Insurance companies refuse to insure above 60 years old
