HR Ministry announces Tuesday the end of Banning Workers to work under Direct Sun
The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development in Saudi Arabia reminds about the end of the Ministerial Resolution of 'Banning workers to work under direct sun from 12 PM to 3 PM by 15th September 2020'.
Every year, Saudi Arabia implements this resolution and this year it ends on Tuesday, 15th September 2020 (27-01-1443), The aim of the decision is to protect the workers from summer direct heat and to secure the labor worker rights. - The decision aims to preserve the safety and health of workers in the private sector of the Kingdom, and is in line with its commitment to provide a healthy and safe work environment for labor workers and spare them what may cause them to health risks, the ministry affirmed.
- This year, The decision came into effect on 15th June 2020, By the 2nd of September, the Ministry has recorded 278 violations of the decision and the violated companies were fined with 3,000 Saudi Riyals for each worker who exposed their workers to direct sunlight at the time of ban.
