 Jawazat in Saudi Arabia reminds about the Penalty for delaying Iqama renewal


The General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) in Saudi Arabia reminds about the fine for delaying the renewal of a resident's identity (Iqama) on time or within 3 days after its expiration date. 



The Jawazat through its official Twitter revealed that failure to renew iqama of an expatriate workers 3 days after its expiration expose to the penalties for the sponsor or employer. Recommend : A new way to check iqama expiry date through Absher

- The General Directorate of Passports confirmed that failure to renew a iqama requires a fine of 500 riyals for the first time, and for the second time 1000 riyals, and for the third time the expatriate resident is exposed to deportation. 

- The General Directorate of Passports indicated that it is possible to verify the validity of a resident's identity by entering into the Absher platform or the Muqeem platform. Trending : Check Iqama expiry date without using Absher
