India extends its ban on International flights till 31st December
India's Director General of Civil Aviation extends the ban on international flights till 31st December 11:59 PM in view of the outbreak of the Corona virus, states the government circular.
However, the circular said that international scheduled flights may be allowed certain routes by the competent authority on case to case basis. Trending : Saudi Airlines clarification regarding travel of Expats from India to Saudi Arabia
- India imposed a lockdown in the end of March and grounded its domestic and international flights. Later in June, the government allowed limited operations of Air India flights under 'Vande Bharat' mission to bring back Indians stuck outside the country due to pandemic.
- On May 25, Government allowed domestic flight services but at one-third capacity, then it increased to 45% and 60%.
