Saudi Arabia to introduce Iris Biometric System at all its Entry points soon
The Ministry of Interior in Saudi Arabia has revealed its plant to introduce an Iris recognition biometric system in all its ports of land, sea and airports, which would be the best method in checking the identity of passengers and ensure the safety of Kingdom.
The National Information Centre, under the Interior Ministry to conclude contract with a Saudi company to undertake the import and install the iris biometric recognition system which applies mathematical-recognition techniques to the irises of an individual's eyes.
- The biometric iris recognition devices fulfill the high efficiency and international standard as the best form of identification. The center is inviting bids along with outlining the terms and conditions for the import and installation of the devices. - Iris recognition is the better form of biometric identification than the fingerprint, as per experts. Each eye, especially iris, has its own distinctive and unique features that are not identical with anyone else and even the features of the eyes of the same individual are not identical.

- There are several benefits of iris identification than others, As it is unique and features of an individual's iris which will never change with passing of years.
