Security forces Seal Off Non-Muslims Cemetery in Jeddah where attack took place
Authorities in Saudi Arabia have secured a Non-Muslim cemetery in Jeddah where a blast occurred on Wednesday and injured 2 people, The situation is stable around the area as showed in Al Ekhbariya channel.
A Greek consulate employee and a Saudi security officer were injured during a remembrance day ceremony held by French consulate in Jeddah. Authorities of Makkah region described this attack as 'cowardly' and 'unsuccessful'.
- Prince Mishaal bin Majid bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Jeddah, visited the injured in the Jeddah Cemetery accident, to check on their stable health condition. Where they receive treatment in a specialized hospital in Jeddah.
- The President of the Arab Parliament, Adel bin Abdulrahman Al-Asoumi, condemned the cowardly attack that targeted the participants while the French consul was attending an event in the Jeddah, resulting in the injury of a Greek consulate employee and a security man, with slight injuries.
- He said, Arab Parliament stands with the Kingdom in all the measures it takes to protect its vital installations against anyone who tries to undermine its security, stability, and the safety of its citizens and residents on its lands.
- The Emirate of Makkah Al-Mukarramah Region confirmed that the failed assault and cowardice incident is still subject to security follow-up.
- The embassies of the United States, France, Greece, Italy and Britain expressed their thanks to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its efforts regarding the Jeddah cemetery incident.
- The embassies of the above 5 countries in the Kingdom said, in a statement, We thank the brave Saudis who took the initiative to assist everyone who was at the site of the Jeddah Cemetery incident, and we support Saudi Arabia in pursuing the perpetrators.
- A number of countries also affirmed their solidarity with the Kingdom and condemnation of this incident, including the countries of Egypt, UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan and Pakistan.
