Bahrain and UAE approves the registration of China's Sinopharm Corona Virus Vaccine
The Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa said that a safe vaccine will be provided to all Bahraini citizens and resident expatriates living within the Kingdom for free of charge.
In line with the directives of King, plans are taking place to provide Corona vaccine across 27 medical centers in Bahrain. All those who are above the age of 18 years will receive the vaccine and the country is planning to vaccinate 5,000 people per day.
- The vaccinating of individuals to eventually extend till reaching 10,000 people per day. The National Medical Task Force is committed to providing a vaccine, which is approved by World Health Organization (WHO) and the National Health Regulatory Authority.
- Bahrain and United Arab Emirates (UAE) approved the registration of the Chinese made vaccine 'Sinopharm' after the vaccine had a 86% efficacy rate, While Saudi Arabia approved the registration of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine which reached 95% efficacy rate. - Results from Phase-3 clinical trials of 'Sinopharm' Corona vaccine showed an 86% efficacy rate, a 99% seroconversion rate of neutralizing antibody and 100% effectiveness in preventing moderate and severe cases of Corona virus said National Health Regulator Authority of Bahrain.
