With 10 Million Corona infections, India is the 2nd Largest country in World with most Covid-19 cases
India has crossed the threshold of 10 million infections with the Coronavirus, according to what the Ministry of Health in India announcement, making the country the 2nd in the world in terms of the number of infections after United States of America (USA).
The ministry said that the number of infections due to the Corona virus slightly exceeded 10 million, after 25,000 new cases were recorded during the past twenty-four hours. Related : Pfizer seeks emergency use of Vaccination in India
- In a good note, 9.6 million infections have recovered, since the start of the pandemic and has counted 145,136 virus-related deaths, as per the Health Ministry.
- India has lifted restrictions on most of the activities to boost the faltering economy, although some states have re-imposed restrictions to stop the spread of the Covid-19.
- India's daily corona infections have significantly declined since September, when the country reported about 100,000 infections per day by surpassing USA as the worst hit country. The pandemic has been on a downward trend in India, While USA saw a raise in new infections reporting more than 200,000 cases in recent weeks.
