Five categories excluded from Corona test Fee for those crossing King Fahad Causeway
The King Fahd Causeway Authority decided to exempt five categories of laboratory test fees for Bahraini citizens and passengers permitted to cross the bridge towards the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The King Fahd Bridge Foundation announced that the five categories are excluded from test fees are:
1. Accredited diplomats and their families.
2. Those returning from an official government mission. Trending : Procedure for issuance of Iqama for new expats
3. Foreign military personnel on official missions and their families.
4. Those returning from medical trips at the expense of the Ministry of Health and their companions and
5. Those participating in Clinical trials of the Coronavirus vaccine in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the Foundation indicated that children under six years of age are exempt from conducting laboratory test.
The King Fahd Causeway Public Corporation had highlighted the importance of sticking to the instructions regarding the health procedures followed in order to enter the Kingdom of Bahrain for Bahraini citizens and authorized travelers, and confirmed the necessity to conduct a pre-laboratory test to detect the Coronavirus (PCR) before arriving in the Kingdom of Bahrain in one of the accredited Bahraini or Saudi laboratories approved by Bahrain. Where the result of the test is valid for 72 hours, or to undergo a laboratory PCR test at the expense of the traveler upon arrival at a cost of 400 Saudi riyals. - The Foundation confirmed the acceptance of the test result through a "conscious society" application or one of the official smart phone applications in Saudi Arabia for travelers whose test results are negative. The original test certificates issued by Bahraini or Saudi laboratories accredited by Bahrain are also accepted.
- The King Fahd Causeway Foundation said that travelers without pre-test certificates must conduct a PCR laboratory test in the designated area of King Fahd Causeway.
