Regions most affected by Cold waves from North, Winter is just beginning
The Municipality of Al Jouf region in Saudi Arabia has instructed to delay the start of cleaning work for two hours, the decision was taken due to the low temperatures and the weather wave in the region.
The Municipality of Al-Jouf through its Twitter stated that, the region’s secretariat and its municipalities had instructed to delay the start of work for field cleaning workers, so that it would be from 8 AM in the morning instead of 6 AM.
- The Al-Jouf Region Municipality indicated that this directive comes due to the cold wave that the region is going through in the current period.
- The spokesperson for the Presidency of Meteorology and Environment, Hussein Al-Qahtani, confirmed that the current cold wave will be followed by stronger waves than it is now, especially since the winter season is still in its beginning. - He revealed that some regions expected to witness zero temperatures during the coming days. "We are in the first third of winter and there are more than 60 days left in the winter, and temperatures are expected to drop significantly," a meteorologist said.
- It is expected that the Kingdom's atmosphere will be affected by waves coming from the north, and this is the strongest wave so far, but it is expected that there will be coming waves, and that it will also record lower temperatures."

- He expects low temperatures to continue until tomorrow, with active, dusty winds affecting the eastern and central regions of the Kingdom, the southern interior regions, Makkah, and Medina, and there may be relative moderation starting from Sunday.
