Filing a report of Losing vehicle plate does not excuse from recording a Traffic Violation
The General Traffic Department (Moroor) in Saudi Arabia said that issuing a report of losing a vehicle’s plates does not exempt from signing a violation, if one is driving without plates.
Moroor through its official Twitter account said, It is not permissible to drive a vehicle with unclear or damaged plates, and if a violation is recorded against its driver, then the violation in this case will be valid. Most Viewed : Article 113 of Saudi Labor Law
- This response came from Moroor to a question from one of the beneficiaries, in which he asked, “The front plate of the vehicle has fallen, a police report has been made and all procedures have been completed and I am waiting for the new plate, Can I walk with the vehicle now?”
- According to the Article 4 of the Traffic Law, every vehicle except for the motorbike, the trailer and the semi-trailer - must carry two readable plates indicating their registration number, one of which is at the front of the vehicle and the other at the rear, and the vehicle may not be driven without them, and no vehicle shall be driven unless it holds its own plates issued by the General Traffic Department.
