An initiative of Saudization in Civil Aviation, Air Transport sector jobs
The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) in Saudi Arabia announced the launch of an initiative to localize jobs for the air transport sector, which aims to localize 10,000 jobs in various disciplines related to the aviation sector that come within the line of strengthening the aviation sector, which is one in the goals of achieving Saudi Vision 2030.
This initiative includes resettling of 28 specialized professions of the air transport sector and approving the distribution of targets, as per the developed implementation plan for the 3 years (2021, 2022 and 2023). Trending : Saudi Arabia to resume all international flights from 31st March, 2021
- The GACA explained that, this initiative is the result of cooperation with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD) and the Office of the National Employment Plan in the public and private sectors.
- It targets to localize several jobs, including the profession of pilot, flight attendant, air traffic controller, supervisors, flight yard coordinators, ground services, and cargo handling, luggage, passengers, Aircraft catering, and other professions related to the air transport sector. - The Civil Aviation has directed all the airlines, maintenance and operation contractors and service providers working at all airports to start implementing the new initiative, explaining that the work teams are designated to monitor and follow up on the implementation of the initiative on a monthly basis and prepare reports and submit them.
