Jawazat calls Expats to Activate and Download Muqeem Digital ID
The Jawazat in Makkah Region invited all resident expatriates to activate and download a digital resident ID (Digital Iqama) through the “Absher Individuals” platform. Related : Procedure to Activate 'Digital iqama' through 'Absher Individuals'
The Emirate of Makkah region stated that, the Makkah Jawazat made it clear that Digital ID eases the process of verifying the iqama or identity of their holders, through the QR code in the event that the original identity is not carried. - The General Directorate of Passports launched a few days ago, the digital version of Muqeem’s identity, which became available on the Ministry of Interior’s electronic application “Absher Individuals” under the name of “Muqeem Digital Identity”, in cooperation with the National Information Center.
- Digital ID will simplify the verification of the identity of its resident expats and citizens in the event that they do not carry their original identity by allowing the beneficiary to view the identity data electronically through the (Absher Individuals) application through the variable QR code, with the ability to download a copy of it on your smartphone to use it without the need to connect to the Internet.
- Muqeem digital identity will be a turning point in the development of the digital transformation process and electronic transactions of individuals with the relevant sectors in the Ministry of Interior's electronic platform (Absher Individuals).
