New insurance must for extending the Visit Visa of Saudi Arabia - Health Council
The Cooperative Council of Health Insurance (CCHI) in Saudi Arabia clarified that, a health insurance must be issued to cover the extension period, in order to extend the visitor visa.
In response to an inquiry from a resident expat in this regard, the Health Council stated through its Twitter that, “upon requesting an extension of the visitor visa, a new visitor insurance must be issued to cover the extension period, to be linked with jawazat.” Trending : Monitoring road lanes violatinons in Tabuk, Hail, Al Qassim and Najran
- In his inquiry, the resident expat said that he wants to renew a family visit for a multi-visit visa for a period of one year through "Absher", and when you press "Extend", the message "Error .. There is no health insurance for this person" appears, noting that the insurance policy expires in September 2021.
- Earlier, The Cooperative Council of Health Insurance clarified that the employer is not responsible to insure the parents and siblings of an expat employee which includes father, mother, sister, brother, who are in the Kingdom with permanent residency.
- On the other hand, the Health Insurance Council revealed that the employer can add benefits to the cooperative health insurance policy, under additional annexes, and at an additional cost, to include other diagnostic and therapeutic services more than what is stipulated in the unified document.
