Pakistan International Airlines and Biman Bangladesh Airlines to resume flights to Saudi Arabia


Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) said it is resuming flights to Saudi Arabia after the Kingdom reopens its borders and resume flights after suspension of 2 weeks, fearing the spreading of Coronavirus Strain.



The spokesman of PIA said passengers would be able to travel to Saudi Arabia from Today after the notification of Saudi Arabia's General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) allowing the resumption of flight operations. - Earlier, Pakistanis were only allowed to return to home country. The airline said passengers who want to travel can book their tickets by visiting their offices or by calling on 111786786, The airline reminded the passengers of mandatory PCR test for all before travel.

- Meanwhile, Biman Bangladesh Airlines has decided to resume all its flights bound for Saudi Arabia after the Saudi government announcement on lifting the ban on all international commercial flights.

- The deputy general manager of Biman Airlines said that they will resume their flights to Saudi Arabia from 6th January, 2021. The airlines has requested its passengers of the cancelled flights to contact the Biman sales office as per the schedule given on Biman website. - Seats will be allocated on a priority based on vacancies on the flight, Biman to operate 14 weekly flights, 4 to Riyadh and Jeddah and 3 to Dammam said the Biman MD and CEO M Mokabbir Hossain.
