Expats stuck in Dubai on their way to Saudi Arabia, Looking for other options
Expatriates who trying to return Saudi Arabia through Dubai and Doha may be forced to turn back to their home country. As the Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi issued an advisory to its citizens who are waiting to fly for Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
Many expats have been stuck in UAE for weeks due to the flight suspensions and are eagerly waiting for the various options to reach Saudi Arabia as their exit re-entry visas of the Kingdom are about to expire.
- Saudi Arabia has suspended expats from 20 countries on 3rd Feb, in order to prevent the spread of Covid-19, with an exception to diplomats, health practitioners and their families. Related : List of 20 countries from where expats banned to enter into Saudi Arabia
- The ban also applies to travelers who transit through any of the 20 countries in the 14 days before a planned visit to Saudi Arabia.
- Most of the Indian expats were used to return Saudi Arabia through Dubai to transit as there were no direct flights to the Kingdom, This option is no more available unless the authorities announce.
- Some of the expats completed their 14 days quarantine in Dubai for entering into Saudi Arabia, but due to flight suspensions they are stuck in Dubai.
- Two expats, with Arab news said, they are looking for other options to enter into Saudi Arabia through Kuwait, Qatar, Oman or Bahrain. As their companies are fully supportive and advised to look for other available options.
