Mosques in several regions have been closed for sterilization after 12 confirmed cases of Covid-19
The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance clarified that it closed 12 mosques temporarily in a number of regions of the Saudi Arabia Today after confirming cases of Coronavirus among worshipers.
With this total 22 mosques closed temporarily within 2 days, 6 of which were re-opened after the completion of sterilization in the framework of ensuring the health of worshipers and providing the highest standards safety to them. - The Ministry indicated that, it started Today closing 8 mosques in the Riyadh region, 4 of which are in the neighborhoods of Riyadh, Tuwaiq, Al Qasr, Al-Araija, Qurtuba, 2 mosques in Harimila Governorate and 1 in each of the governorate of Dalam and Wadi Al-Dawasir. 2 mosques in the city of Sakaka in the Al-Jouff region, after confirmed Corona infections.
- The Ministry explained that closed mosques are opened after all precautionary measures and sterilization have been completed, and the Ministry has renewed its alert on worshipers to take precautionary measures approved by all the competent authorities, including wearing a face mask, bringing the prayer mat and maintain physical distancing to protect them from the epidemic.
