Saudi Post mentions 7 cases of Not compensating to owners of the Damaged or Lost shipment


The Saudi Post clarified the cases in which the owners of parcels and shipments that were lost or damaged are not entitled to claim any compensation.



The Saudi post office indicated that, it is not responsible for the seizure cases that take place as per the internal regulations of the country of the supplier or source. Trending : Saudi Arabia extends Coronavirus restrictions for 20 more days

The Saudi Post has specified the cases in which the owners of damaged or lost shipments are not compensated, and it is in the event that one of these following cases

1. Any postal item sent or received to the Kingdom contains any material stipulated in the Postal Prohibitions List and the procedures for handling it, in case of suspicion or any other item in the same list.

2. Failure to complete the data and compensation requirements by the client within 14 days through the e-mail sent to the customer.

3. The sender's error or negligence.

4. Self-damage of the shipment due to the nature of its contents.

5. Force Majeure that leads to damage to the shipment or damage to official documents that help conclude the fate of the shipment. Recommend : Saudi Central Bank announces Instant Payment system in the Kingdom

6. The expiry of the period of protection of the shipment stipulated in the list of maintenance of postal documents and postal inquiries, and the destruction, sale or seizure of postal items whose protection period has expired.

7. The mail attachment is not responsible for any loss, damage, delay or error in processing any postal material issued by the normal non-registered route.
