Saudi Arabia ranked 4th in Arab World and 38th in World in Global Food Security Index
Saudi Arabia ranked 4th in the Arab world and 38th in the world in the list of countries in World Food Security Index for the year 2020, while Kuwait ranked 1st among Arab countries and 33rd globally.
The Economist explained that the Food Security Index addresses the fundamental issues of food costs, availability and quality in 113 countries around the world, it is a dynamic model for quantitative and qualitative measures of food security in developing and developed countries alike.

- According to the index, Kuwait topped the ranking of Arab countries for the year 2020, while the country of Yemen, which has been in war for years, came last in the Arab world and globally.
- The Sultanate of Oman (34th globally) came in 2nd place in the Arab world, then Qatar with 3rd (37th globally), Saudi Arabia with 4th (33rd globally), the UAE (42nd globally) in 5th place in the Arab world, and Bahrain (49th globally).
