Kuwait imposes Partial Curfew for a month starting Sunday


The Kuwaiti government decided to impose a partial curfew for a month, this is in light with the precautionary measures to prevent the spread of emerging corona virus (Covid-19).



During its extraordinary meeting, the Kuwaiti Cabinet issued a decision to impose a partial curfew in all parts of the country, starting from Sunday at 5 PM in the evening until 5 AM in the morning, for a whole month, according to the Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Qabas.

- This step comes from the government after the Coronavirus cases in Kuwait recorded a record jump, in the past 3 days, the total number of infections reaching 4,466 new cases and 20 deaths. Trending : 17 Day Light festival to illuminate Riyadh this month 

- Today, The Kuwait's Health Ministry announced 1409 ne corona cases, 1077 recoveries and 5 deaths, By this the total number of cases reached to 194,781.

- Last month on February 22, The Cabinet rejected the Health Committee's proposal to impose a partial curfew in Kuwait and replaced it with a series of new strict measures to stop the spread of Coronavirus pandemic.

- A government source confirmed that the cooperative societies will receive customers from 5 AM to 5 PM during the restriction time. Any competition between customers will be prevented by volunteers and employees of the concerned authorities with the coordination of Ministry of Affairs and the concerned authorities.
