Ministry sets a date for Commercial centers, Malls to provide Children's Hospitality Center
The Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing has announced the date of May 3rd, 2021 to start obliging the owners of commercial centers and malls with an area of 40,000 square meters or more to provide a space for a children's hospitality center with a minimum of 50 square meters. The Ministry invited all the owners of commercial centers, malls to quicken to correct their conditions, highlighting that failure to comply with this condition set by the ministry is considered a violation penalizing the companies by the secretariats and municipalities.
- The ministry pointed out that the aim of this new requirement is to allow women to enter the labor market and provide a suitable work environment for them, as the provision of child hospitality centers in commercial centers, malls will help remove hurdles to working mothers in these centers. - The Ministry stated that this step comes within the framework of cooperation, coordination and integration between government agencies and partnership with the private sector to provide the best services to society in all its categories, in particular between the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development to include the requirement of providing and operating a children's hospitality center directly or through Investor, within the requirements for obtaining a license for commercial centers, malls.
- Earlier in November, the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing gave the existing commercial centers and malls a period of 6 months to correct their status, except for commercial centers designated for men's goods.
