Oman extends strict Coronavirus measures, reduces Offices capacity, bans UK flights
The Supreme Committee to Combat Corona virus in the Sultanate of Oman decided to ban all direct flights from the United Kingdom (Britain), starting from 19th March 2021, with the exception of cargo flights.
It also decided to ban entry to the Sultanate of those coming from Britain or transiting through its lands to the Sultanate, during the past 14 days, starting from 12 noon from Friday until further notice, with the exception of citizens.
- The Gulf Arab state's coronavirus committee has also renewed the order closing all commercial activities in the sultanate from 8 PM to 5 AM until 3rd April. Exempting fuel stations, health centers, private pharmacies, tire sale and repair at filling stations, transport, cargo and unloading services and the operation of factories without receiving clients and customers, home deliveries, food orders to customers in their vehicles from restaurants, cafe, cafeterias and licensed street vendors and guests only service at restaurants.

- Activating the role of volunteers in all wilayats of Oman in coordination with the respective walis.
- Permitting the use of beaches to practice individual sports, maintaining ban on gatherings.
- The Supreme Committee invites all to follow precautionary measures stipulated by the concerned departments everywhere including residencies, workplaces and public places. Recommend : New employer to bear Iqama fee, work permit fee of an expat
- The Committee also calls the public and private sector companies to devise necessary mechanisms for the implementation of above mentioned instructions.
