Saudi Arabia is among the most trusted Governments in the World
The government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia enjoys a high level of confidence as per the results of the Edelman Trust Index 2021.
Saudi Arabia cheer up the win trend of losing confidence in a number of other governments around the world, as levels of confidence in it increased from 78 to 82% between January 2020 and January 2021.
- This increase of 4% made Saudi Arabia as one of the most trusted governments in the world, sharing 1st place with China in the 28 countries surveyed by Edelman. Similar : Saudi Arabia ranked first in Arab world in terms of the number of satellites
- The government remains the most trusted institution in the Kingdom in general, outperforming companies, whose confidence increased by 73% from several points, NGOs with 61% and the media with 60%. The report also highlights the role of CEOs in addressing societal issues by 87% and driving change with 62%.
- The results indicate a clear potential role for companies in supporting government efforts to provide accurate information to the public.
- Edelman's research revealed that although the Covid-19 pandemic has worsen personal and societal concerns, with about job loss of 81% and climate change 60% has outpaced the unease about contracting COVID-19 with 59%.
- Likewise, survey respondents in Saudi Arabia have adapted well to working from home. Almost 3 in 5 respondents (59%) preferred this option over returning to the office, largely due to concerns about catching COVID-19 while on the move or in the workplace. - The results of the 21st edition of the Edelman Trust Index for 2021 are based on a study by Edelman, a consulting company that deals with data and analysis. This year's study included more than 33,000 participants in 28 countries, with Saudi Arabia participating for the 2nd time in a row.
