We have not received any reports of Blood clots after taking Corona Vaccine - Saudi Food and Drug Authority
The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) confirmed that it has not received any reports of blood clots or clotting cases among the Coronavirus vaccines receivers.
The number of doses of vaccines administered in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has reached more than 2.4 million (2,439,841) doses so far.
- The SFDA said that it is continuously following the safety of the Covid-19 vaccines available in the Kingdom by following up and studying the cases of side effects and scientific evidence. Recommend : Health Insurance of an expat can be canceled only in 3 cases
- All the data available about it locally and internationally in coordination with the health and regulatory authorities, as well as the safety of vaccines with manufacturers, the Ministry of Health and international regulatory authorities. Through its membership in the International Coalition of Drug Regulators (ICMRA), whose membership includes more than 30 regulatory bodies and with the participation of the World Health Organization (WHO), it meets periodically to exchange data and information available on vaccines and their side effects.
- The authority highlighted that in case of any developments about vaccines and their safety are available, they will be announced through its official channels, calling on everyone to take the news only from its approved sources.
- The SFDA invited all community members and health practitioners to inform the National Vigilance Center about the side effects of Coronavirus vaccines via the link https://ade.sfda.gov.sa/Covid/CovidRequest or by the following means of reporting, The unified number of the authority 1999, and the email of the National Vigilance Center (npc.drug@sfda.gov.sa), and the application of the Saudi Food and Drug General Authority "Tameni (reassurance)".
