Ministry of Health expands the administration of First dose of Vaccine and postponing all dates of the 2nd dose


The Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia announced the expansion of administering the first dose of corona vaccine to those who did not receive it and postponing all dates for the second dose and rescheduling it later so that a large segment of society is covered with the first dose.



The Ministry explained that all existing appointments for the second dose were postponed, starting from Sunday (April 11, 2021), and that the resumption of the second dose will be announced later. Trending : For 75 years and above Corona Vaccine is available without appointment

- The Ministry of Health explained that this is due to the shortage and halting of international supplies of vaccines due to the manufacturers facing challenges in fulfilling the contracted supply quantities.

- To make sure that the largest number of people are covered with the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, especially the high-risk groups, because of its impact in reducing severe cases. And to protect public health, and to maximize the benefit of the second dose of the research that the vaccine manufacturers are doing to include the mutated types of the virus in their vaccines. - The Ministry of Health called on all Saudi citizens and resident expats to rush to register to take the vaccine through the Sehhaty app, especially to the people most at risk with the consequence of the virus.
