Saudi Arabia announces Fines for violating Umrah and Prayer permits in Makkah Grand Mosque
The Ministry of Interior in Saudi Arabia announced that the fine for those caught coming to perform Umrah without a permit in the month of Ramadan is 10,000 riyals and 1,000 riyals for those trying to enter the Holy Mosque of Makkah without permit to perform the prayer.
The ministry through its official Twitter account said that, it is in implementation of precautionary measures and preventive measures to confront and prevent the spread of the Corona virus, and to ensure commitment to implementing the approved preventive regulation for performing Umrah and prayer in line with the safe operational capacity in all sites of the Grand Mosque and its squares, it has decided to apply the following statutory violations:
- A fine of 10,000 riyals for the one who caught coming to perform Umrah during the blessed month of Ramadan without obtaining a permit. Similar : 3 Expatriates arrested in Makkah for posing as police officers
- A fine of 1000 riyals for anyone trying to enter the Grand Mosque of Makkah without permit to perform prayer.
- The application of these violations will continue until the end of the pandemic and the ministry calls on all citizens and resident expats to stick to the instructions requiring that whoever wishes to perform Umrah or pray on the campus get a permit to do so.
- The Ministry state that security staff will carry out their duties on all roads, security control centers, sites and corridors leading to the central area surrounding the Grand Mosque of Makkah, to prevent any attempt to violate the applicable regulations.
